Below you’ll find some of the most frequently asked questions, people ask me. If you’re not able to find the answer to your question then please don’t hesitate in contacting me.
1) What do You Know About the Recent Google Algorithm Updates?
I know that the recent penguin update had the largest effect on English search results than any other update Google have made, I also know that it coincided with a refresh of the exact match domain algorithm that had a very large impact on partial match domains.
I also know that neither any of my personal sites nor any of my clients sites were negatively affected by these updates, in fact most of them improved their rankings due to competition being affected.
2) Do You Employ Social Media Optimization? How?
I’m a one man team, and while I do believe strongly in social… I just don’t have the man power to run social marketing campaigns.
3) What’s Your Link Building Strategy?
My link building strategy for all my clients is almost 100% outreach. I’m extremely creative in my link building and this often leads to very, very effective links from high authority sites that none of your competitors will have.
I’ll never ask for anchor text and do most of my link building via email introductions and then follow up on the phone. I often find that speaking to someone actually increases the chance of getting a link by at least 100%.
I’m very much in the mould of Eric Ward and have had some incredible success with regards to building links and rankings websites to the top of Google. I’m very happy to show you examples if you’d like.
4) What Are Your Relationship Building and Outreach Skills?
I think this is explained above.
5) What’s Your Knowledge of Content Marketing?
I have excellent knowledge of content marketing but I don’t actually call it by that name.
Content marketing is the strategy that I used before anyone even called it that. I love to have a great piece of content created and then leverage that piece of content to get your site or product/service offering in front of the people that will be interested in it.
Often during the research stage I find that there are many content gaps that can be filled to build some incredibly good links.
6) How Much Will I Have to Invest? and What EXACTLY Will This Be Getting Me?
I charge a monthly fee for a set number of links that you want built to your website. At this moment I charge a minimum of £2,500 all the way to £7,500.
Now, while it may seem like you’re not getting much for your money (as my strategy can be quite time consuming), know that my main concern for every one of my clients is to make them money. So rest assured knowing that I’m always working towards the end goal of driving traffic to your site that will make you a great ROI.
7) Are You Actively Involved in the SEO Community (i.e. Posting Within Forums)?
Not really, I read a number of SEO blogs and have private relationships with some of the ‘big players’ of the SEO world, but I see forums etc as a huge waste of time. I’d rather pursue my personal projects with my free time. But I do keep up to date on the latest SEO news and goings on.
8) What Tools Do You Use?
I generally use ahrefs, buzzstream and the Google suite of tools. I also have some custom built tools that perform tasks that I need exactly the way that I need, but I do the majority of my work by hand the old fashioned way. I have recently started to use Citation labs but have not adopted these as regular tools as of yet.
9) I Know SEO is a Very Hit and Miss Territory, but What Kind of Results Would You Predict Given Your Suggested Level of Investment and My Websites Current Position?
Based on my results I believe that a few well placed links of the caliber and variety that I will target for you should improve the search engine position of any website. Of course this can’t be guaranteed, but I am always quietly confident of first spot and generally achieve this.
10) Do You Offer Any Guarantee? If Not, How Will We Be Measuring Success?
No, It’s irresponsible to ever guarantee SEO results. All I can guarantee is that nothing I do will harm your site and that I’ll always work towards the goal of making you a great ROI through the work I do for you. We measure success by traffic, search engine rankings and revenue.
11) Why should I hire you?
To be honest, I’m probably the best SEO consultant in the UK. I’m by far the most creative and out of the box thinking link builder I’ve ever come across, and you’ll be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t at least get in touch with me.
